Plain-English information
A practical overview of the information DSIT handles while providing technical support. This page does not replace your service agreement or privacy advice.
DSIT may store device-health information, support-ticket details, and backup information required to deliver the services a clinic requests.
Backups managed by DSIT are stored in Canadian data centres. Some management and ticketing tools are hosted by DSIT’s software providers in the United States. Provider names and regions are not published here.
Formspree processes website contact and call-back requests. Google Calendar appointment scheduling (Google LLC) is used to book Readiness Reviews. Booking details may be processed by Google and stored outside Canada. Clinics should not include patient information in these tools.
Patient health information is not placed in DSIT support tickets. Clinics should not include patient information in website forms or general support requests.
Access is limited to DSIT staff who need it to provide service. DSIT uses multi-factor authentication and a need-to-know approach for access.
If DSIT becomes aware that information was accessed without authorization, DSIT will notify the clinic at the first reasonable opportunity and coordinate the technical response. Legal reporting decisions remain the clinic’s responsibility with its legal advisers.
